Optikron was founded in 1992 in Jena, a tradition-rich region for optics manufacturing and technology. The company has specialized in the production and development of micro-optics, optical groups, complex optical and opto-mechanical assemblies, thin-film optics and optical coatings. These components are mainly used in endoscopes, medicine technology, laser systems, optical data transmission, in measuring instruments and sensor systems.
